air conditioning and medieval sword fights

An odd combo, but somehow indicative of how I view the world.

I'll admit it. I'm a princess. Modern-day princess. Sometimes I even question, "am I spoiled?" To which the answer my mother, sisters, and father give is "no, you're just YOU."

(It's my favorite answer.)

With that said, I would not survive a time jump back to actual medieval times cause I have recently discovered I cannot live without air conditioning.

Seriously, how did people live before electricity? Air conditioning is my closest and bestest friend.

Mine went out last night and it was NOT a pleasant night to say the least.

No worries, the technician was here early this morning and as far as I can tell it's back up.

Long story short, I would not survive my own romantic fantasy books. I would probably die by page 11. (I don't even know what happens on page 11, but it would probably kill me.)

Which is why I relate SO HARD to Lada when she keeps bringing up how much she hates shoes (and the cold).

And why I need a man who sees the necessity things I dislike and finds a way to make my life better...

Just sayin', Vol. II—chapter title: Slippers of Silk

So, while you will NEVER find me camping (unless it's lights-out in a suite at the Ritz-Carlton), you WILL find me imagining all the fantastical romance-y things and writing them down for your pleasure.

Which is why I'm off to twist a scene to fit the outcome of last week's poll.

You're gonna love it ;)
