When I say "controversial", most people would think it has to do with religion or politics or worldviews that affect people and things around me.
You'd think that, right?
I've found that isn't the case, and here's what my hot take is that gets the most backlash:
It's perfectly normal, acceptable, and amazing to love romance.
Now, I'm not talking about smutty books or lustful thoughts when I say this.
I'm talking about ROMANCE. Pure, unadulterated "I love this person and I'll do whatever it takes to be with them" kind of romance.
The kind that sacrifices self for someone else. The kind that protects their love against all odds.
AND SOMEHOW PEOPLE THINK THAT LIKING THIS IS A BAD THING?!
(If you can't afford me emotionally, just say so π)
There is nothing wrong with loving love. Nothing wrong with wanting that yearning, longing, us-against-the-world romance in your life.
I believe love is always mostly emotional, and rarely rational.
Which is how a very naive forest girl and a morally grey king found themselves falling head over heels in love with one another through the course of mishaps and misunderstandings:
Because, let's be real. There's no reason they should love each other except emotion. And it only amps up in Vol. II!
I'm here for raw, unfiltered love. The kind that performs grand gestures without blinking and finds a way to give all the happiness in the world to their favorite person.
Are you here for that, too?
Pondering life and love,
Megan
