I was swept up in beautiful love stories and a wonderful wedding this weekend. I don't want to come back to "real life" yet. Because I would much rather thrive in the center of love and happiness and celebration than return to "real life problems".
Sadly, that isn't how the world works. But it CAN BE how books work.
I'm going to be honest with you, Reader. People have told me that my stories are "too unrealistic".
And to those people I say... Why are you trying to find reality in books? Don't you read to escape?
For me, stories are about whimsy and fantastical elements and the possibility of anything. So when people ask me to write something more realistic I just... can't.
I'll have to leave that to those who have the ability.
My stories? They're about escaping to new worlds, and meeting new people and creatures. They're about true love conquering all and two people finding each other in the truest sense.
