It took me 45 minutes to finish this email

The distractions are distractioning.

Listen, Reader, I'm positive you've been in my shoes. I know you've had a day (or multiple) where it seems like NO ONE wants you to complete ANY tasks.

That's where I find myself.

I started writing this email several times. Every time, someone in the house needed me to do something for them.

So I got up. I did it. I came back. I started over.

And the same thing happened again.

Days like this can feel futile, but they aren't. Not entirely. At least you're getting stuff done around the house, amiright?

Even with distractions and interruptions, I did manage to finish writing this email. Eventually. After I finally managed to sit myself down in a focus zone.

(don't ask what that is, I just came up with it myself.)

Sometimes, we have to push through the distractions to get to the desired end result. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that "we can do it!" even when we feel like giving up.

If that's you today, and it feels like you're never going to get your to-do list done, remember to take it one step at a time! You've got this! Don't give up!

You cannot imagine the distractions when I was writing A Tale of Blood and Blossoms, Vol I - but I pushed through and now she's here and she's beautiful! (Shameless plug, buy a gift for your nerdy reader bestie):

Remember, it isn't how much you're getting done, it's your persistence in doing it. Big things grow from small consistencies.

I'm here if you need to rant, talk, or gush!
